Different deep sea creatures for the digital agency Generation Digitale done at plx. The images are created to be used as content for their website. The task was to come up with any kind of high-tech inspired deep sea creatures in their corporate colors. My role included design, modeling in 3ds Max and rendering with vray/iray. We wanted them to look somehow organic but also artificial. It was a fantastic challenge to combine organic and mechanical shapes. This is one of the most exciting client projects I‘ve done so far.

Visual development for music artist Agent Lexie. Besides her music Lexie came up with the concept and the background story of her alter ego. We decided that the world she lives in is quite monochromatic, dominated by powerful totalitarian organisations. Colorful accents in her design symbolize her creative power and the fact that she is different. Her bracelets are not just accessories, they are a multifunctional tool and her weapon. I created the complete visual appearance of the artist, including album covers, logos, stickers, characters, props and storyboards for music videos.

This was my first Product Design Project ever at University. The briefing was to create a coffee percelator based on the Senseo-Pad-System for a specific brand. I decided to do a product for Victorinox. So the result expresses the simple and unique design language of the brand. The concept is based on the classic Mocca Express. Heat under the percelator creates pressure and makes the water move upwards through the coffee powder. This concept works with every source of heat, like ordinary gasburners used for camping.

This project was done in cooperation with Mack Rides. The goal was to design a rollercaster based on an existing concept for a theme park. The main part was to design the seat. The design is limited by several ergonomic factors and safety regulations. Nevertheless it should be the eye catcher of the rollercoaster. My design is inspired by architecture and design elements that symbolize speed and lightweight like the Beijing Olympic Stadium and Konstantin Grcics Chair One. The cushion elements can easily be changed so you are flexible to adapt the seat for children or heavy people. The connecting surfaces are based on ergonomic research and tests done in teamwork by the students and the collaborating company Mack Rides.

Link to Part II: Agent Lexie Graphics.

The musicbot is a small portable and boxy stereo. When activated the musicbot transforms into a standing robot and plays the music.Talking about the design the Musicbot is quite simple, boxy and graphic. Although his mouth is straight he seems to smile, that‘s why I like this robot so much.

The idea was to design a 1:4 scale robot that sits inside a car interior. The seperate, rapid prototyped body parts are designed to save material and to keep the production costs as low as possible. The bodyparts are connected through a mixture of wires and rubber sleeves. The 1:4 scale model has 100% human proportions. I designed the robot and modeled it in Autodesk Alias. The robot is flexible so you can put him in any position you want. Car Designer Stefan Göppel designed the car interior.

This is a modular toy designed during my studies. The Wooden Toy competes with plastic toys and should not be old fashioned like some of todays wooden toys are. The different parts are connected through elastic rubber bolts that fit into simple drilled holes. The design of the components is as simple as possible without loosing the fresh look. The topic is transportation because children ever since love loud cars, caterpillars etc. But it is not limited to that.
